SaveMyLife Backup Setup

MyRamani's cloud backup suite offers a safe and secure way for you to access your data from any computer within your business. Please note that due to the large file sizes of these backups, support for downloading onto your mobile phone is not supported and not recommended even for syncing to an external cloud as they are often bigger than the free cloud storage provided by third parties such as Dropbox. Instructions provided below are for Windows and MacOS. Connectivity between your machine and the cloud server can be built right into your Windows Explorer or Finder using SFTP

For Windows 10

  1. Download the Swish file explorer extension for windows, and complete the installation.
  2. After the installation is complete, open your Windows or File Explorer and choose "This PC" or "My Computer". You will see another option there called "Swish". Double click that and then choose "add SFTP connection" from the top
  3. Enter the credentials you've been provided by MyRamani Support for your SaveMyLife Backup access
  4. It will ask you to verify the key provided, choose "yes" to this prompt after entering your password
  5. You should now see your backup files integrated into your explorer window, you may now access them as is (updated every few hours) or take a copy at any given point into a local disk on your computer to store locally as well

For MacOS

  1. Download and install Cyberduck FTP client
  2. After installation, open the application and enter the credentials you've been provided by MyRamani Support for your SaveMyLife Backup access
  3. It will ask you to verify the key provided, choose "yes" to this prompt after entering your password
  4. You should now see your backup files integrated into your explorer window, you may now access them as is (updated every few hours) or take a copy at any given point into a local disk on your computer to store locally as well
